As per usual there will also be an Open class to cater for drivers from outside the SE Region and those wishing to run a 4WD around. There will also be provision for Round 1 of the 'unofficial' SE Regional separate SCT & Stadium Truck Championships for 2WD (ONLY!) electric trucks.
More details here: http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95195

To be held at Eden Park Raceway (check out: http://www.edenparkraceway.com/) on Sunday 06 May 2012.

Track WILL NOT open until approx. 08:30 for practice so please DO NOT arrive too early! The track has near neighbours which we do not want upset by excessive early noise, thank you!

No worries Mark, thanks for the feedback, though I think Andy Langdon possible took home more of the dirt than anybody else!

A challenging day for all what with the weather and track conditions and contrary to what's been mentioned on another popular site (FB!) I think most drivers coped, to differing degrees, with the VERY challenging track conditions! The conditions we had are possibly the worst we could have had for a 2WD event and car control was tested to the limit for even the best of drivers!

Oh and thanks to all (well nearly all!) drivers for their understanding of the difficult conditions that any marshalls had to contend with, after all their safetly is our primary concern even if it takes a little longer to get to the incident, thanks again!

Surely it's got to dry out again soon.....hasn't it?

The track conditions were tough, very slimey, but I thought it was a great days racing!!!
Thanks to the people running the meeting

It was a different track layout, apart from being slippery, what did you think of the track layout?

I liked the layout, it had a bit of everything, tight technical parts, quick bits on to the straight , jumps and the bomb hole. Made for some tight racing.

Well done to the creators of the track! Good job as DC would say!

I think the track worked well. The concrete coming on to the straight was much better once it dried out a bit. I think if the straight was a bit longer it would be one of my favourite layouts for a while, nice and technical and the table top is a lot more forgiving now, which is better for all.
