Default W.R.C.A sc10 class

Who’s up for coming to Tally to race the sc10s around the National track - big banking section- Double jumps - mounds and table tops to really get some air from the trucks- big 30m straight with the infamous bumps

Caldicot regional will be held at the Tally track and we are having a SC10 class

Date is the 26-July

Shall we get the ball rolling at the WRCA in Talywain by saying box standard with a 10.5 or 13.5 ??

Standard Wheels/Tyres
Standard Shocks
No extra weight ??

What's our thoughts?? If there are any other trucks as in T4 etc so what highest placed SC10 wins

Sounds good to me, count me in! 10.5 motor and standard tyres. Dont think there is a massive amount to be gained from restricting anything else, and it becomes hard to police.

Does that mean you have a boot full of lead

10.5 and standard Tyres is a great start I reckon

Scott, as the WRCA regionals are open to all trucks you may well end up having to run with others (including my Losi).

So unless you are volunteering to scrutineer the SC10s, there are no restrictions other than the usual BRCA regulations applicable to regionals!

If entrants let me know in advance what truck they will be running I will try to sort out the heats appropriately.

In terms of points scoring, that's a matter for the WRCA to decide.

This sort of talk isn't as much fun as the racing is it?!

well, the WRCA doesn't have to keep a points tally, as there is no 'class' to qualify for, with trucks, at the moment, and is much more a ad hoc class.

I cant think of much which is as much fun as SC10 racing! I think the way the class will be run depends on how many people turn up, would be nice to have a few heats of competitive racing though.

Completely understand the other Trucks and there being no rules as it's an open class.

To be honest Pete don't think anyone is entering this class with points in mind all about fun and if we can get the SC10 drivers which are attending to all have same cars it will only enhance the fun but that's only my opinion. Completely agree that driving them is more fun than talking about them but unless you know of somewhere on a Tuesday afternoon running electric trucks I'm going to have to make do

Think you may have taken this sentence wrong way Pete

What's our thoughts?? If there are any other trucks as in T4 etc so what highest placed SC10 wins

This wasn't meant as in wins class, but as in the fun between SC10/Slash short coarse trucks. Which are completely different from the competitive trucks. Obviously we are all goin to race together and have a ball but when Lukes 5.5T truck goes down the straight I'd like to have someone else with a 10.5 that I can just clip the ass end of

Peace mate !!

Fair enough Scott, in that case, the 'winner of the SC10 race' will get some chocs!

Talking I thought it was open trucks

Why is everyone trying to lock it down to sc10's only!!! It's open trucks. I understand saying either 2wd or 4wd truck but one make only is nuts!!!
It's like saying you can only drive a B4 in 2wd buggy...
If you are all scared of my little firestorm say now!!!
If not bring it on!!!!
Ill be at taly...

What are you talking about ............

Nobody is trying to lock anything down to anything. Simply a few SC10 owners having a little chat about running same kit for the WRCA to have a bit of fun !!

The comment about the B4 was shit, are you for real. Can't believe there is such a fuss being made !! Grow up

I think, the jist is, to have a CORR Pro truck class, and an open truck class, as you can't really compete a CORR Pro truck against an RC10T in full race setup.

Just to clarify, it is an open truck class at Talywain. Any 1/10 electric truck is eligible.

If the SC10 runners within that class want to come to some sort of agreement regarding spec, that's great, but they'll still be running with the other trucks.

Hopefully see you there

I have to say that my understanding was that as its and open class that any motor could be run- my plan was to run an 8.5 to start and then chuck in a 5.5 for a laff- as thats whats its for a laff

if motor rules come in to play i think it will spoil the hole thing

there is no motor rules in 2wd or 4wd and that works fine

READ THE FREAKIN THREAD YA MUPPETS!!!!!

There are no rules for the truck class because the truck class is an unofficial class. Truck class is a support class for the WRCA series, it therefore counts for absoloutly nothing!

Scott is suggesting that those people who are choosing to run SC10s in this open Truck class have a gentlemans agreement to run to some predetermined specs so that the cars are equally matched. At the end of the day you can run whatever the hell you like, just don't complain if you don't win Pete's choccies

In case anyone is unsure, PeetBee is the official Caldicot representative and therefore what he says is gospel
