Default Model car display @ welsh waterways festival

28th 29th and 30th of may there is a waterways festival in glyn neath. Swansea model car club has been asked to put on a display along with the local model flying club.

We have been allocated a large area to build a track. We are looking at running this weekend as trophy meeting. The saturday will be held as a stand alone day, with qualifiying and finals, and the trophy meet will be the sunday and monday. With 6 rounds of qualifing on the sunday and 30 min finals for nitro on the monday and 10 min finals for 10th electric. Even if you cannot make the sunday to qualify you can still race in the finals on the monday.

Classes are open to
1/8th rally cross
1/8th trucks/truggies

1/10 trucks/shortcourse
1/10 2wd + 4wd buggy

Costs are £15 for the 3 days or £6 per day.
Camping is free from the friday to the monday.

Also this is an ideal oppertunity to create awareness of model car racing in wales.

If anyone would like to bookin and race at this show. please pm me your details and what days you can make.

link to more details of the show. http://www.welshwaterwaysfestival.co.uk/

Sounds like a good weekend planned guys!
few questions:
How many finals are being run on monday?
If we only turn up monday for finals do we just get put in bottom final and work from there?
Also Would 1/8th electric be welcome running and be put in with the nitro boys?

cheers

dave

Basically we are running the monday as final races. so depends on how many finals we run, it could be two or even three finals. 8th electric is fine, if there is enough for there own heat/final or they can be mixed in with nitro. (battery pack changes would look good). If you can't make the qualifing sunday then you be slotted in after the driver that qualified last, but all finals are bump up's.

basically the day's will be relaxed enough to enjoy, and most important we will have lots of public watching us. so the long finals will look good. as its 3 days of racing we are trying to mix it up a little, by running 3 differn't days of racing format's.
