Dont feel silly Jimmy,

Tis all about having fun on the day..be it battling for the win or just having a laugh jumping around the track

Tis true......

I saw a Tamtech run last Sunday (might be the same model as yours Jimmy?) and was VERY surprised at how well it handled the jumps

JT's Mini-T flies and I imagine the Tamiya's to be at least as good so you have no worries Jimmy. There are loads of us with serious looking cars who are not serious drivers so it's all about rocking up, havin a laugh and eating some burgers (if the van shows up ).

Just done a couple of small mods, the servo being mounted on tape was poor, so I fabricated a couple of alloy minature servo posts. Also when running the hitec red servo saver, it caught the chassis so i have removed a little chassis material. I also made the servo posts so the servo is a mm or so raised. Between the two it no longer fouls the chassis.

There is a FTX carbon servo hold down mount available, works very well. FTX4127

Popped over to this event today as it is only a few miles away.
How quick are those 1/18 scale cars.
Track looked the Dog's doo dars. well layed out track with a bit of everything. Big table top and a banked corner.
Looked like the drivers were enjoying themselves racing on that track.

Glad to enjoyed watching the madness!
The event was brilliant!
Craig did himsefl proud and his ST looked dialled from the very beginning.
Jimmy's Tamiya suprised many a person, but you forgot your trophy
And John qualifyed 2nd in the B...not too shoddy for a maiden voyage with a new car

Car needs a few little tweaks and it will be on the pace. A little dissapointed to have missed the A by only 7 seconds, but can't expect too much for first time out eh?
I enjoyed the track and the event was well run. A big thanks to the guy who kindly sold me a "proper" motor, my std one was pathetic (maybe i just got a bad one, many others looked fine)
See you all at the next one in January
