Talking carisma gt14 mk2 servo

hi all
I've recently purchased the above and have been looking for a servo for it. It needs a mini servo-which do you guys recommend without spending a small fortune as I only paid £30 for 2 cars and loads of spares!

do they all run standard sized splines for the saver or are they smaller like heli ones? I want to run a standard kimbrough or buy the kit saver but have seen some servos with much smaller output shafts/splines .

I already have a mk1 but want to get the mk2 up and running

thanks in advance

I have a gt14 Mk1 somewhere in my basement and I used a micro savox servo. It was about £15 but very good. Cant remember what model will have to have a look later. I think the spline is smaller than standard.

I`ve got this in my MK3 -

Very happy with the speed and power and they feel very well build and has been trouble free after lots of use.

Might also be worth getting the XRay M18 Micro Servo Saver XR382500 , best servo saver for these little cars.

There are lots of other cheaper servos to pick from.

thanks for the replies.

I've been looking at the Turnigy/hobbyking ones but was unsure as to the size of the splines as nothing is mentioned about them.
I like the idea of the M18 servo saver though. I've also found a Hitec HS-55 and saver for the losi mini T and an associated one which i think is for the 1/18 buggy but again am unsure on spline sizes-all this micro stuff is new to me as I thought all servo's where either 23,24 or 25 spline!
Need to get one bought cos I really want to get it up and running asap!!

I've got one of these off ebay and its got a small shaft!!
Took a chance and ordered one the other day as it was only just over £4 and worth the risk! Not expecting much but had some surprisingly good results with the cheaper turnigy stuff.

Seems to be well made, fits nicely in the car and can use existing servo mounts which is a bonus!
I presume/hope the M18 servo saver fits the smaller shaft servos? Will order one today if it does.

Again, thanx for the advice

That servo got a JR / Futaba spline so the Xray M18 servo saver will fit. It comes with 23/24/25 spline adaptors. I think Futaba/Savox is 23 !!
