Default TLR338005 22 3.0 Dirt Laydown Conversion Kit

So what's the deal with this when compared to the old laydown conversion kit, seems to be missing hubs for the same price, but says no need to swap between chassis for stand up and laydown so I'm confused why a new chassis is needed

I'm pretty sure the dirt spec lay down offers the same motor position as the regular lay down conversion, but keeps the differential at the regular height, rather than the -3mm position, allowing you to use the kit hubs and not the aftermarket alloy ones

the new chassis is also drilled to accept the 3 gear standard gearbox and the 4 gear gearbox the original laydown chassis was not so would only accept the laydown gearbox.

Pretty much except it keeps the diff at 0mm rather than +3.5mm of the original laydown. The shell is thicker than the previous version and the standup box fits the chassis as already mentioned.

The chassis also has less pockets, so less flex.

Interesting point made another forum in the laydown instructions the motor plate and a couple of other parts only have a part number for the full laydown kit. So if I needed a new motor plate would i have to spend £150 to get it surely not

Weird does now even shows this thread wonder what that weird plastic part number. You'd think they'd be listed somewhere
