Let start with some basic club info...we are one of only a few clubs in the WRCA region currently...and are located just over the old severn bridge crossing near Chepstow & Caldicot...see the map below!



CRCCC runs indoor meetings every Friday evening, doors open from about 6pm, racing from about 7.30pm through to 11pm at Caerwent Community Centre, Postcode for satnav is NP26 5NS

We currently run 1/10th offroad 2wd, 4wd and open truck classes along with an open Micro offroad class. And we usually have attendance for at least 4 heats, which gives us time for 4 rounds, 3 qualifiers plus final.

Timing is done via AMB transponders, we have a small number of handouts for those without PT's that can be rented on the night.

The tracks are of mixed surface, carpet and polish, the layouts and features vary each week to include various lumps bumps and other things. Favoured tyres currently are Schumacher yellow mini pins or yellow mini spikes depending on how you like it. Both run well on the polish.

Pitting area has limited electric so bring a long extension or 12v. There are a only a handful of tables that get used on a first come first served basis so we'd advise bringing one along if you have one.
NB - All lipos to be charged within Lipo Bag.

There is usually a trackside shop provided by Trackside Spares from Newport who carry most common parts for the most popular models that are run at the club, and a good stock of tyres is usually available.

I think most who race would agree it's a very relaxed, but competitive club. Racers come from a reasonable distance, from Cardiff, Newport, Bristol, Weston-super-Mare, Gloucester and some even further a field than that are regulars at the club, so we can only hope we're doing something right!

I have been attending the club every friday for the last 6mths and never miss a week!!.............Track always different and a great bunch of guys........Awesome!

Some more details - Whilst the club is very relaxed, we have at least 3 Rounds of qualifying and 1 final for every driver. We aim to start racing at 7.30pm and to be finished racing by 11PM as unfortunately we've got to be out of the hall by 11.30pm.

And yes...that really is astro turf!!! It was amazing...for 10th's at least, not so sure the micro's loved quite as much. We had it for 1 night only thanks to some other users of our hall.
