JConcepts wheels for RC10 Goldtub
Offhand does anybody know what bearing sizes fit these wheels? The wheel part ref is JCAF and they are a 5-spoke design. The bearings my RC10 came with (fitted into the original 3 piece wheels) have an OD that is too big although they do fit B4 wheels nicely.

The wheels arn't made by JConcepts, they are JC Racing wheels
The old alloy tub cars used to use flanged bearings, then from the B2 onwards they have been the same 3/16 x 3/8. |

Do note, however, that the offset is a bit different to those of your original wheels, and that the wheel wil run a bit closer to your a-arm than it had done. It's not so serious as to cause interference with most tyres, but if you have the stock arms and try to run a wide tyre like the proline wide ribs - you will have probs. Yes, your old bearing is 3/16" ID x 5/16" OD with a 3/8" flange. The ones you need are 3/16" ID x 3/8" OD with no flange, as Richard pointed out. I ran into this same problem when I was getting these new wheels for the RC10... If you'd like, I have four brand new bearings that would help you out. PM me if you're intersted. Cheers, Ty |

Oh dear, the new bearings I got from Ty don't fit, not too bothered though as they do fit other cars I've got. I've attached a photo of the wheel with the wrong bearings to show the sizing difference.
Ideas? |

You'll need the flanged ones for those then I think.

Yeah, Dan's right - sorry I didn't realise that your rims are different to the ones I have. It seems you'll need 4 bearings similar to the one shown sitting on the three-piece wheel in my photo. I'm not entirely sure where the best source for them is in the UK, but it seems you can still get them throuhgh CML:
https://www.shopatron.com/product/pa...r=AS6902/745.0 Pricey though. Hmm. The RC10 6-gear transmission is full of these bearings too, so they must be pretty common. I might have one or two extra used ones if you're really desperate to find some. Let me know. Cheers, Ty |

Blimey those are expensive. Have a look here for steel or here for ceramics. He also does cheaper ABEC3 rated ones.
