Default SX Gearbox Thread repair.

Hi guys, I have an SX3 and have pulled the threads clean out of the rear wishbone block mounting hole, my son has also done one of the fronts.

I'm looking into being able to replace the pulled alloy thread and replace it with a stainless steel thread liner.

The price of a new gearbox side is around £17 has anyone alse had this problem?

If what I'm looking at works would anyone be interested in the repair? It would cost approxamatly £20 including return postage to stainless thread all 4 gearboxes front and rear.

If you guys could let me know if there is any interest and I will post my results here soon.

Why not just pick up a timesert or keensert kit and do it yourself rather than paying someone else to do it? We use them all the time on full sized race cars.

If they are M3, can't you just tap out to M3.5?

I'll be using recoil kits, I was wondering weather anyone else would be interested in the repair service.

There isn't enough meat in the case to drill and tap out to 3.5.
