Well guys, that was one of the best meetings of the year for me. I know there were people grumbling about the track, but for me, i just felt like it was a different challenge. It's the same for everyone when it comes down to it! The amount of concentration needed to race it fast was huge, i loved it!! The weekend was run flawlessly as well, nice one to the officials and the club for their efforts!!

Saturday night was absolutely brilliant. Fraser getting his tackle out in the middle of a floodlit field just for my pint was genius. My throat was sore from all the singing we were doing ('Tom Yardy's sideburns....DER DER DER DER DER DERRRRR DERRRRR DERRRRRRRRRRRRR'), it's no wonder the bar closed up and booted us out!! Can anyone remember us lot phoning Mossy and singing 'that' song to him? I think i almost wet myself laughing at that!!!

....and thanks very much lads for soaking me during the photo on Sunday, i almost had a heart attack. I guess everyone saw you lot running up behind me, you all hid it very well, as i had absolutely no idea what was going on!

I have to say well done to Nick Goodall for Saturday's win. You were quite simply the class of the field. Hope to see you at the nationals next year? (or not if you're just going to beat me again )

Young Nick Oliver - Mate, getting TQ on sunday was absolutely brilliant work. I was so happy for you dude, even if it meant demoting me to second on the grid (grrr! ). However, you suffered with awful luck in the finals. Try not to think of that though, and just remember about the TQ, you'll definitely be a force next year!!

Just like to say thanks to Nick and Bob for letting me stay in their caravan on fri night, and to Jamie and family for staying in their caravan on sat night, and to Martin Booth for letting me borrow his motor (i guess a 5.5 in 2wd was just too quick for that track)

Finally, thanks goes out to my mate Doddy. Can't thank you enough for the car loan, and the efforts in getting it race ready etc. I love you!! I don't think Laura saw a great deal of you on sunday due to you setting up everyone's XX4 in our tent (there were 4 of them).

Bring on Coventry....

Excellent weekend, thouroughly enjoyed it despite a "testing" track, but like mentioned previously it was the same for everyone. Shame there weren't more juniors but what can you do?
Well done to all who took part, some good racing & a well run meeting (as always)
Top refereeing by all, thought Tom Yardy was excellent with the youngsters, helped them all whether they were lapping or being lapped, well done Tom, only error you made all weekend was once you said well done lad to our Natalie!!!, (but I'm sure she will get over it).
big thanks to all the "ring of fire" singers from saturday night, now our Natalie wants to learn how to play that on her trumpet, (cheers lads), gonna be great hearing that all the bloody time in our house soon

Best quote of the weekend, from Mr Lion-O himself, the one, the only (thank god ) Bigred Latham:

"That track is more random than you and Stu put together!"

Hey Trekkker, the dash for the line was pretty intense, I was putting the power down way too much, my car was all over the shop!!!

It made for a fun ending to a great final and weekend for me following my poor qualifying rounds, looking forward to F345's now.
