Yeah they just let you race/battle then punish the dirty driver with a stop go (if they're watching), not much you can do really apart from make sure you're away from the dirty drivers

The way it is supposed to work (and having directed Euros in St Gaudens and Pau I speak from experience) is that there is a separate PA feed on the rostrum so the refs can speak to (and punish where necessary!)the drivers but the public doesn't generally hear this . The main PA has commentry only - this is supposed to be in English and the local language which makes things interesting especially when you've got Tony Evdoka full on (he did a great job for us in Pau BTW) and you have to try and get a word in edgeways in French!
As for commentary is general having tried it it's not easy - especially when you've got to do 2 languages all day!
