Default My Vinyl wrapped 22

Hi people. Just thought i would share the vinyl wrapped losi 22 shells that i used in my local regional meet today. hope you like.

Thanks grovenik. Yes i did them myself. i just did it for something to do with a bit of spare time but i could do them for others in the future.

They look fantastic, any of those would have taken months to paint !

How does it hold up compared to having paint on the inside ?

Sorry. Havnt been on for a while. Yeah they hold up pretty well. The vinyl
Is quite thick so really stiffens up the shell more as we'll. the good thing about
It is that if any of it starts to lift then just a quick blast with a hair dryer and it
Sticks back down again.

They look really nice!

Presumably if tarnished scratched etc but the shell itself is in good nick it could be removed and replaced?

How did you go about moulding it round the 3d shape of the shell did you make a lot of cuts or does it stretch a bit if heated, can't see any joins!

Thanks guys.

The only cut line is around the roof vent area as there's a lot of sharp
Creases but other than that it's just a case of heating it up and stretching
It about. Some of the vinyls are thicker than others so some I use a heat
Gun on and some only require a hair dryer.
