Default Hard B6 Outdrives

Hi all,

I have been developing and testing a hardened B6 out drive for the last 3 months. Numerous prototypes of different steels and hardening processes have been tested, run into the ground, etc.

Attached is a pic of the out drives, new. And one after approx 2 1/2 hours constant running (after cleaning).

I have some left out of the first batch after pre orders, these will be with me in about 2 weeks.

Please let me know if this is of interest to anyone.

Ben :-)

Default They have arrived

A little package dropped on my desk this afternoon. In it was the RC10B6 hard coated out drives.

After pre-orders I still have some left. Please let me know if you want some.

The price is £16.99, postage is £2.50 on a Royal Mail 1st class recorded.

PM me if interested. I'll try to get them out tomorrow, if not they will leave Thursday morning for Friday delivery.

Ben

Just an afterthought. It is strongly recommended that if there is significant wear on your drive pin, you either change the driveshaft or the pin.

This will ensure you are starting afresh and have the optimum power uptake, smooth delivery.

Just noticed MB models have the gear diff outdrives back in stock. The part number is the same but I wonder if the material is harder?

I got a set from Ben (the poster above). I have not had chance to try them yet, but they fit fine and look nicely made.

Has the drive cup wear issue get sorted on the B6. I only ask as I'm wondering if it will continue onto the B6.1.

I'm looking for a pair of outputs for a geared b6 diff to use with MIP roller puck driveshafts. Anyone know of a place with stock or failing that is it possible to get some made by Ben/bkelsall??
