TRF201 3x36mm gearbox screws wanted....
I was wondering if anyone has any of these screws. My son was redoing his diff on Sunday and when he put the rear end all back together his screws were not really binding with the motor plate. It's now become apparent that the motor plates threaded where the screws go in. He put a touch of threadlock on the screws but after his race they had all came loose and are now lost. I'll buy from someone or if someone can point me in the direction of a shop that has them as I can't find them anywhere. I've ordered a new motor plate for him. First problem with the car since new which considering the racing that it's done is encouraging.

I've had similar problems with mine. If you locktite the screw, you'll ruin the entire thread cause it will come out with the screw when you undo it next time. This was with the option motor plate.

Guys, Modellbau Seidel has them in stock and ships within Europe.
http://www.modellbau-seidel.de/index...-TRF201,-DN-01 They speak English very well and have an awesome service. ALso all the 3 kinds of motor plates are in stock: stock motor plate: http://www.modellbau-seidel.de/index...U-TRF201-42167- Lightweight cooling plate: http://www.modellbau-seidel.de/index...-TRF201,-DN-01 best one for dusty conditions because of the sealing: http://www.modellbau-seidel.de/index...latte-ALU-BLAU I recommend to secure the screws NOT with loctite or something like this, i know the Durango loctite and find it way too hard. I prefer the Tamiya GEL which secure the screws but doesn´t ruin the thread if you have to unscrew the gearbox several times: http://www.modellbau-seidel.de/index...slack-1g-CR-01 Unfortunately it´s not in stock now but they will have stock soon. Hope this helps. |
