Default H2 recommended spares

Hello fellow H2 pro owners.

I've been running mine indoors for a few weeks now without and breakages but will be venturing outdoors for mid west MAM and regional action very soon.

Has anyone broke anything yet? If so what? And has anyone got any recommendations for spares to carry before I commence battle?

Cheers
Wes

I've broken a rear tower from coming down heavily on it upside down,It might be worth getting a pair of front caster blocks and steering arms but other than that the car is very solid!

I damaged a steering knuckle. Well I noticed it was damaged around the ball stud hole. It was still holding together though. I think the reason for this though was more to do with the ball stud forcing the hole open. Since then I have pre-threaded them and seems a lot better.

There's a few of us with H2s in the Midwest so should have most bits covered between us.

I snapped a rear stub axle on mine,it was a hell of a crash though but i think i know what caused it,there is a little play between the axle pin and hex and im sure its the movement in there that caused it,no problems on my other car that has clamped alloy hexes.

As Aiden said there are quite a few of us in the midwest running the H2,spares we should be well covered for although as ben said the car is solid,if you need anything or just want a chat come and find us were always willing to help where we can

Awesome! Thanks guys!

Jason........ I noticed (on another thread) your running your saddles across the car with dremeled side pods and was considering this myself. What benefits have you noticed? Is it worth me doing before the 17th?

Cheers

Generally the car just feels better with the saddle formation, better over bumps and certainly jumps alot better, you can distribute weight better also, the most noticable thing i found straight off was the extra grip the car generated, that stood out from the first lap

All of us that race together are all running the saddle formation and im pretty sure they would all say the same, you can also run a stubby lipo across that chassis which we tried at the last meeting and again that was also an improvement over length ways

I would say do the mod,if you leave your electrics on the top plate you have every option available to try or return to if you dont like it,but i would honestly say go to saddle and you will notice the difference straight off, even my rear motor car is having the same so i can see what that does

Heres a couple of pics of the saddle mod that i've just done tonight.

Relatively simple if you have a Dremel.

I find the car goes very well with a stubby in it and have loads of grip at both ends, it has been the easiest car straight from the box I have driven since a zx5 some 5yrs ago.

Broken bits

High speed cart wheel and broke a spindle carrier
16ft triple side ways landing and broke the rear hub using the shortest link/hole.
Rear tower hard landing on the roof.
Rear wishbone while on the start line and a extra lap junky hit it.

Added crush tubes in the rear hubs to save the bearing.

Phat bodies Rocco 22 shell fits with careful trimming.
