The Bantam is the original 4-button charger. It's a high-quality charger made in Taiwan. It's expensive and accurate. It's what I purchased as I'd rather spend a bit of extra money on the charger to avoid damaging my Lipos. I've been using it for about 18 months and my Lipos are all as good as new (no puffing or swelling), so well worth the money.

All the other 4-button chargers are cheap clones made in China. Some of them are calibrated and work just as well as the Bantam. Some of them are way off. If you're lucky it will undercharge and you'll be fine. If you're unlucky it will overcharge and you'll damage the Lipos.

I charge using a UAC-40 Core-RC charger and every time my cells have been volt checked at a big meeting they've always been 8.39 or 8.40.

sometimes it'll time out balancing, but I put that down to my old lipo more than anything.

...although in fairness, the Team Orion and Turnigy Im hearing good things about. The Turnigy has little variable resistors so you can fine tune the calibration so its exactly right. I gotta love that idea.
That is a good idea! I like that.
