Great track, first time out on astro and absolutely loved it.
Well done Barry for organising the shakedown I believe everyone in attendance yesterday agreed it was a great track and a well organised day.
Looking forward to the regional.

The track looks really good

There didn't look masses of grip from the video's as you usually expect from astro, just wondered what tires everyone was using?

Good spot. It wasn't bitey and horrible. Is was quite similar to Colchesters grass track of last season.

On 4 wheel drive, I had reasonably worn schum yellows on the rear and cut staggers on the front. Gave a safe, slightly under steer, feel. No changes to setup (mainly laziness) other than dropping the ride height.

Must be a different astro to most I've raced on if it's almost like running on grass.
The astro looks a reasonable length, not like a really fine carpet. Am trying to guess on tires might be worth giving a go, which is why I'm fishing.

For the limited number of tracks that I know we have both raced on at the same time it's the closest I can relate too.

It's nothing like the unbelievable levels of grip at Silverstone and nothing like the sand covered tracks like Eastrax.

I think everyone was running the same? Cut Staggers and Yellow mini spikes. Except Chester who was testing the aerodynamics of his tyres and the grip levels of his wing and shell.

I do like the promo video, good job. Just a quick update, we have spent most of the weekend working on the track, race control is very nearly done, the rostrum has mostly had a lick of paint, the infield has, well been filled, (please note you will now be sitting/standing on royal carpet)!!!! We have all been working hard (especially the hours of John Abbott, I swear that man doesn't have a home to go to), so we hope you all like the final outcome. Now please let's all bow our heads in pray, "Please god don't let it rain, or snow". See you all at the weekend. Colin.
