I wouldn't put a concave lip on it. As there is no gradated down section. The 30 odd degree consistent take off, leaves the car flatter coming down. With a lip, it will send the cars north and make the impact heavier. Stationary cars waiting to find traction will lead to vertical stacking

I am surprised to see the worn marks as the last meeting was on Sunday, the day before the Boughton regional, and I don't know anyone that raced (not saying there wasn't, just I don't know of anyone that had the balls to go racing on Easter Sunday AND Monday).

Regarding the jumps at the back - I agree with Mr Evans (take a picture people, this is rare), it will need some TLC. This much rain and it will be like jumping through mashed potatoe.

East of England - Renowned for it's low rainful, currently in a state of drought and yet it is likely to p'+s it down for 3 out of 3 meetings. Unbelievable! On a positive note - it's not like the weather has crept up on us - at least it's had the good nature to advertise the fact well in advance.

Looking forward to Sunday. After my wins in all 3 classes at round 2 (FACT -it's on oOple) I have some titles to win!

Good point, I just drove back from Dartford and it was hammering it down from thurrock round to stansted, I'm guessing colchester would have had the same. Just hope the field has good drainage.

Oky doky,we were up the track on Wednesday evening in the rain and whilst other parts of the field were boggy, the corner where the new track is located seems to drain quite well with no puddles.
A couple of our guys will be up there tomorrow and will report on here tomorrow evening IF we have consistant heavy rain between now and then, but i dont foresee any real problems.
It was our intention to run both the jump and the whoop-de-doos as dirt because this has caused us no problems up until now.But today we have taken the decision to carpet both of these areas before sunday so that they dont chew up too much.
We also totally boarded out the rostrum and built some pukka steps on Wednesday and there is plenty of room and its very safe and sturdy.I'm sure George will confirm this.
The weather forecast is different on various websites for Colchester on sunday so its fingers crossed and see you bright and early,I'll be there from 8am.

Paul.

Great news on the track adjustments.

Weather is showing clear and sunny in the morning and early afternoon. 17 degrees too! Bring out the steel drums!!!! Carl's going to need a beat for his smokey barbeque, reggae reggae sauce!
