Do you mean a version factory team or a whole new platform?

I think the results that the B5M has had with the 3-gear gearbox. You may see a FT with 3-gear option maybe..........

Having talked to a friend who is an actual engineer at AE, I can tell you that a FT car is probably a ways off (Cause I was considering waiting for a FT version rather than buying all the upgrades).
You'll see refinements as the car gets more and more track time. I think the big push is likely an 8th scale and other minor developments possibly in the SC or ST class. Its SOOOOO expensive to R&D a new car and come out with something new. As was previously stated, the B4 platform was so solid for so long, thats one thing I like about AE. They don't "feel" the need to come out with a new car when the current one is doing fine. With so many wins under its belt, its hard to justify re-inventing the wheel. MOmo |

One of the best things about AE, kyosho and losi, when they release a new car their past record means if you buy it it's not going to be out of date in 6months. even tho the 22 was not quite right the 22.0 didn't arrive six months later total knocking the value of a second hand car.
Schumacher build good cars and I'm looking at a K1 for next season, but already I'm hearing rumours of a new car coming……and as for xray

There's always the infinity carbon chassis. That should make the car handle better and be more competetive.

The package suits a very wide range of users out of the box and there is just nothing to form an updated package with - sure there are upgrades, but apart from the ones too specific to include with a car (3-gear transmission)*, the others at the moment add up have too little extra value to form a true Factory Team kit if you ask me.
*Keep in mind, Associated run a worldwide business. I don't recall them releasing a huge family of different versions of one car - why make the choices complicated for distributors, hobby stores and customers? The only thing I think Associated really missed the mark is the kit pistons - the standard ones have no pack whatsoever, which either suits you and the tracks you drive on, or not at all (in my case it's the latter). There are some other small things ,like flex and electronics space, but 5 minutes with the sidepods and a Dremel does the job Good luck removing flex with those same 5 minutes and the sidepods, so I'm happy Associated did it like this... |
