Default Generator vs Inverter Generator

Hi all,

I’m looking to buy a generator for outdoor racing and I need to decide between a cheap (£80) generator or a more expensive (£180) inverter generator.

If it’s only running at most two chargers and at a push a lamp, are there any reasons why the inverter would be the better choice?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Go for the inverter type, My only experience with a cheap one was a friends geny was choking up so I gave it a bit of a rev and to my surprise the voltage went from 230v to 380v this damaged this power supply. So my advice is to buy a voltage stabilised Inverter type. Kipor/honder is very popular

As reelman said our equipment is far more suited to being run off a inverter type

1000w will be all you need, and will run a fair few facets
