1/10th in Herts/beds area

Hi
I'm an expat living in oz for the last 10 years
we're returning to England for a 2 year stay in early 2012
I used to race at the pyramid club in the 80';s Dunstable coach and horses,
St.Albans ( by the veralanium sports track) and briefly at Hemel hempstead. then poplors Nursery Toddington
anyway, enough of the old times
I'm feeling anxious as I need to know where 1/10th off road clubs in the herts/beds/bucks area are?
can you help me!!!!

This request may be better suited to the Chilterns/Mid-South region as that is where this area comes under.

Nearest venues at a guess would be DMS Racing at Watford and Stotfold up the A1.

I am sure Darren at DMS can help as he is heavily involved in the region and will know more clubs and venues....

Hi there, you have raced at many of the clubs we have raced around in this araa for many years now, sadly almost none of the clubs you list are still running.



As far as "larger" events (regionals and nationals etc) in the Herts.Beds area goes (known as the BRCA Mid South region) are just three active clubs.

• Stotfold Model Car Car (nr Hitchin)
• Silvertsone Model Car CLub (northants)
• DMS Model Car Club - indoors (Watford)

The regional series this year has been shared by these three clubs (and PDA in Bicester that has now just ceased). Many of these clubs also run "club" meets for buggies in midweek and soem on weekends too. Stotfold (Wednsedays nights and most sundays), DMS MCC (thursdays nights indoors and a few sundays) and I bleive Silverstone are looking to hold more event soon on their track too in the very near future....

There are also several smaller clubs still dotted around in the area that are active (including the old Hemel club - now known as Herts RCMCC and based here in Watford - they run every other sunday). I am sure that some of the other clubs also run too on a weekly basis but not sure that they all still cater for 1/10th buggies....
