Default EoE 2wd Rnd 2 @ Eastrax

Round 2 is coming up at Eastrax on the 17th June, this is on a brand new all astro track. Book in now to avoid disapointment.

As for tyres a quick pm to jcb for advice as he is racing there this weekend.

Just hoping the weather stays good for the weekend though at the moment it looks like quite a bit of rain

At a guess tyres would be Schumacher Yellow Mini Spikes for the dry and Green Mini Spikes for the wet. With Ballistic Buggy Green or Pink Spikes also being a worthy option in the wet.

Will let you know more after the weekend.

Well what a day. I attended the Mid East Regional held at Eastrax today and I have to say I think it is one of the best all weather tracks I have raced on. The astro stayed grippy all day without there being excessive tyre wear on either Ballistice Buggy Spike of Schumacher Mini Spikes. Also considering it rained all day from when I arrived at half eight to leaving at around 4pm there was not a hint of standing water on the track.

The features were all very driveable (after the inevitble practice crashes of course ) and the covered pitting made a wet day very enjoyable indeed.

Thanks to all at Eastrax and Mid East Region for a great day and hope to see you in a few weeks at the East of England Regional.

More details about the Eastrax can be found at http://www.easupertrax.co.uk/

Please remember to book in for the forthcoming 2wd Regional at Eastrax this Sunday 17 June.

Booking in can be done at http://www.rcracechat.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=84

or email

trevor_brown@dsl.pipex.com

There has been quite a bit of interest from drivers outside of the region to attend, so an open class will be running on the day. This may be mixed heats of 2wd and 4wd depending on the numbers that attend.

Am hoping to see drivers from all the off road clubs in the region which includes:

Bury Buggy Club
Coastal Model Car Club
Kings Lynn Model Car
Lawford Buggy Club
Mid Essex Car Club
Norfolk Buggy Club
Colchester Model Car Club
Eastrax

All the clubs are hosting a regional so must have some off road racers, therefore I look forward to seeing someone from every club at the weekend

the under cover pitting area may be used if you wish but power is limited there and the venue dose have catering on site for hot and cold drinks and food

Numbers are looking really good on the booking in forum, still a few clubs that aren't represented though!!!

I would think your X6 would go pretty well. At a guess Ellis' Stotfold or Bury Metro setup would be a pretty good starting point if you can get it.

Anyone really got any ideas about what the weather is supposed to do at the weekend? Looks changable at the moment
