Default Benfield club

Well , last night was my first night at the new venue .

In my opinion the venue is better than the other .

I'm not sure if it was better coz Kev was not there , but may be .

I thought Whitley bay was miles from Benfield , but it's only

3 mile from the tunnel or so .

We raced on the wood floor with no carpet and it was great .

When Paul said no carpet I thought oh f--k , I love carpet , and I had my 2WD .

But the track was big and easy flowing , not like the tracks at the other venue .

I built it tho so that's probs why .

The numbers have dropped a lot since the change and if the numbers don't

Rise the club will have no choice but to call it a day .

So come on people , give it a go , after the great winter series last year we

Could have the same this year .

(Mini pins and a front shock tower protector only )

Well said.

We are looking into making some improvements thanks to the help of members and will be making things work to adapt to the new hall i.e. ramps and storage.

The new hall is a few minutes travelling on top of the time it would take to get to the old one and there is plenty of parking.

We get heats and finals in the allotted time and track preparation so we don't actually lose any time at all as we all chip in.

Cost is the same £5 per person to race not like some other clubs.
This will hopefully stay the same providing we can keep our numbers up.

As always everyone is welcome to race and we encourage new drivers young and old.

And yes the track layout was good so your the new builder from now on.
Sorry Gordon nothing personal

None taken. When he said he built the track, he meant the straight.

That was the best nights racing I've had in long time. The track went out in minutes and we were up and running in plenty time to get 4 rounds in. Loads of space for pits and the track was nice and wide, no wall or skirting to clatter (should save a few wishbones!)....no carpet was the way forward, made the racing more fun and saved a lot of messing about. Should save tyre bill too!

Only disappointment was the turn out. A lot of regulars to the club have suddenly stopped going... no idea why? This venue is much better than the last.... it also has a huge outdoor astro area we could use for summer events!

We all love the Winter Series, but unless people get there fingers out and turn up, there wont be a club for much longer, that means no winter series!

Support the club!!!!

Probably the most enjoyable nights racing I have had in a long time. Really enjoyed racing with no carpet but I was running 4wd.

As it has been said above we really need more drivers to come to the club. Don't know why alot of the regulars from the old venue don't participate anymore. It would be great to see you all return (as well as any new drivers) and support what I think we would all agree is a great club
