Default top cat

I would say no . But if they did at least I would have the missing part I need ,and the value would drop like it did on the ,xls..

I wouldn't be surprised if something isn't in the pipeline for the future 2wd
When and what I have no idea R&D team are always busy developing current line of products
And I believe it would almost be a new project as most original tooling was disposed of moons ago
Of course this is only theory and the truth is out there somewhere

I’ve heard a whisper that it is in the pipeline but when is anyone’s guess, with the success of the XLS then they know they’d be mad not to and then that opens the door for the cougar and then the Works ext

A harder decision to make for Schumacher than launching the XLS re-release.

The Topcat wouldn't appear to have been massively popular in period, many getting rebuilt as Cougars as soon as parts became available.

Robin Schumacher had a look around my Topcat at a Revival a few years ago and didn't seem hugely complimentary towards the original design.

That said, I never expected the XLS, so who can say.

The XLS was a worlds winning car. The topcat wasn't. More likely would be the Cougar/2, I'd have thought.

Perhaps a cougar 1 or 2 with a top cat conversion

The XLS made sense on a lot of levels due to it's heritage as a worlds winning car, and the fact that the worlds win was with Masami it appealed massively to all of his fans around the world.

I'm not convinced there is any other car in their vintage portfolio that has even close to the same level of appeal. That said, I suspect that the xls shifted more numbers that expected, in which case there could be some desire to do something. Trouble is, there aren't any 2wd's that share any parts with the XLS, so they'd be starting from scratch again.
