Default New Team C TM4 Sneak Peek

I saw this on Redrc.net, I didn't think it would take Team C long to start a design for a 4wd TM2

there are going to be a few of them competing at the worlds so wont be too long before they are available

Ally chassis, with an optional carbon version, 1/8th style diff cases to allow for quick diff tuning, longer wheelbase than the T4, new 14mm hex wheels (these are soon to be available as option for TM2 etc)

It looks to be more than just a 4wd TM2, although similar layout it has a lot of new parts

Just heard a few more details about it.......sounds like it's going to be a hell of a car, no fixed date for release yet but they are saying well before Christmas

It is taking some of its design principles (diffs, shock towers etc) from 1/8th scale so super strong but very agile too.

Quite surprising that they've gone with the "shorty" pack design. I think it's good for the car, but with the situation in the US with ROAR, maybe not.

Interesting design...

I hope they think about a possibility to revert the motor mount. So you can use it with shorty in this configuration and with saddle in a more common "B44-like" configuration...

It is a so simple idea, I can't understand why nobody has implemented it yet...

If Sch****her came up with a car that for some reason was not legal in the US; however, in the UK and rest of Europe it was legal, and provided a significant advantage, don't you think they would release it?

Isn't Asia and Europe a significant enough market to sustain this product?

And not all races in the US are raced with ROAR rules...

The ROAR rules are out of date. Soon a lot of manufacturers will likely go this route. Modern tech always gets smaller. We don't need the massive capacity provided by big packs of cells. I suspect a re-think of those rules in the near future.

Agreed, but they'll increase the price of brass if everyone goes for shorties

For what it's worth I totally agree that the ROAR rule is crazy, and if it were down to me actually I would be looking at bringing in rules to encourage making batteries smaller - but I don't see that happening!!

Paul, Good question, It's "each to their own" I guess.

Interestingly, it seems that HB/HPI weren't too worried about that rule and won a ROAR national with a car with a shorty. Weather it's possible to fit a full size pack in their car, who knows.

That's not what I mean... These are conversion kits...

I'm talking about a "native" possibility to chose where you want to mount the motor, just the same way you have the possibility for rear and mid motor on some 2wd...

The Azarashi architecture could be very well, problems could come from shorties capacity, on some tracks with some motors, 4500 mAh won't be enough and you would like to be able to use 6000 mAh saddle packs...

I fond some new picture from the Facebook of Zack

The spur, new pads and the aout of driver less hevy

3 point, and hew with out the bad pin

more détails of the new rear box and the anti squat sytem

note the big place for the ball bearing for the diff box and the scew for the down stop

I have my answer, i can't use the diff bow and anti squat sytem on the Tm2

I maybe wrong, but for the Worlds, don't IFMAR set the rules and not ROAR, but post event, any ROAR national/regional event would be different? Also, reading the rule, seems to be prevalent more to the old sub-C style cells.
