i think no cut and shuts as a general rule but anything else goes

coming into a new scale from my normal stuff and feeling in the dark is quite a bit off-putting.
i dont even know if i can run the kit tyres that came with my rc18,what motor/battery combo is still legal and can i use the new exotek chassis that just cost me almost £100

Yeah you can run the kit tyres.
We don't have legal lists for motors/batteries, anything goes in 1/18th (as long as it's 380 size :P)
You can use the Exotek chassis, but if it's the 180/190mm version, you'll be racing in the 1/16th scale at nats.

If you dont know.....just ask

In fairness, if I went and looked at buying a Mini-Z today id be in the dark as to what I needed etc.

And bear in mind, we seem to be discussing an idea only afew days after our main AGM.

Daft-ness.

Matt, there's some things that are exactly the same, and some are completely different (that's what I've learned going from my normal racing to doing mini-z last year, still haven't managed to make a Stafford meeting this year!)

First off, don't worry about what off-set wheels might cause a problem, as you're either running a buggy shell, or you can trim your truggy shell.

You're also going from on-road to off-road, and thinking about it, there shouldn't be any major differences, and there aren't for the most part, but you do have to re-learn some driving techniques where jumps are concerned (I'm still trying after 3 or so years).

Not sure which "slot" car my shark fits into now either, but i think it's the bigger of the two, so I'd guess 1/16th, so, I might even get my Blaze back up and running, and run it in 18th too, although that means finding 1/18th wheels and tyres for it.

You've got my email address if you want owt, and most people here will offer their 2 cents and helps and advice.

Once the official rules are completed and finalised they will be released by the Section Secretary for all to view.

Oh Rob...really? Does this have anything to do with you?

I strongly doubt it.

Rob, you really have no idea!

Talking of personal attacks...whats with the "Cris-sy"? Do you really think that is appropriate?

I dont really see that anything has been "flipped on me". The fact that our Section Secretary has not released the rules to the public does not mean that she needs to "get off her arse" because she is too slow...but thats a great attitude to have towards the people that make our Section and scene what it is.

Really Rob, you do yourself no favours whatsoever and its getting tiresome. Unless you have any genuine intention of racing within our National Series next season (which would be interesting seeing as you dont race at the USA Micro Nats) then I see no reason why this has anything to do with you at all?

You'll notice that I have tried answering all your questions, posting where appropriate to help with your questions and concerns....and you feel the need to post a load of "thumbs up" in response to Robs reply basically saying that I am too slow?

Did you read Ursula's reply prior to that where she says that she is responsible for posting the rules and is finalising them at the moment?

Ill pass your thoughts and comments on to her Sarah.

Further to you phone call of 1 minute ago, I though Rob's posting was to the point and quite funny, which is why I posted some smiley face, it seems that most people can post smiley faces in response to posts without getting banned from a forum, so that's what I did.

Rob didn't say for Urs to get off her arse and get the rules sorted, he directed that comment to yourself. Urs has only just started in the job, and I'm sure she's working her best in her new position.

I try not to dig the comments directed towards me as personal, and those that are just come from idiots anyway, try to do the same Chris, you'll be a lot happier as a result.

BTW Chris, my mobile number is for friends and customers, at present, you are neither.
