Default Tips and tyre choice...

Hey guys, I last raced at Stotfold around twenty years ago with my XX CR......how time flies when you're having fun!

Hoping to come for a race soon with an eBay bargain Durango and wondered if you could give me a steer on tyre choices for 2wd?

When I do make it to the track my car will be the one upside down the majority of the time, sorry in advance marshals

Hi Mate,

I don't run at Stotfold as much as I would like but I find Schumacher mini spikes yellow compound on the rear and low profile cut staggers in yellow compound on the front. I have heard mini pins don't work there but I have never tried them.

Cheers
Simon

Alright Bizz - you are most welcome to come down!

Yup - in the dry I'd go for Schuey MS rear and stagger/cut stagger fronts both in yellow.

In the wet I'd run BB MS green rear and either cut stagger Schuey silvers or BB green staggers.

You won't go far wrong with that combo for a 2wd. If 4wd change to BB MS green fronts.
