sadly so, and I don't think it is going to get any better in the fiancial climate we are heading into. My LHS was telling my it's quite worrying how mutch stock uk importers have not got on the shelf. people want stuff sold before it gets here, and thats not just in the RC industry

I am waiting for a phone call from a chap at the UK importer ( On lunch break at min) see if he can tell me for sure if and when uk will have it and poss the rrp

lett you know how I get on

and send a message the Dennis "rcmart" from rcmart, he's in HK and will go out of his way to order what you want direct from Team C. If it's more than $120 USD I'd be very surprised, he's shop price for the rear motor TC02 is 99 USD. Normally you would want to support Ansmann in the UK but if they are talking 200 pounds for a kit that costs the same wholesale as the rear motor, then probably it's better to getting it a bit more direct. Not sure if Dennis will do the same deal for everyone but my TC04 was around 150 USD, total bargain I thought.
do you use the same user name on rc tech will message him and tell him that you sent me his way

Ive just ordered the conversion... $27 postage...

The conversion and postage came to about $82, which worked out at just under £55...

Bargain if you ask me?

According to Ansmann, the RTR car will be released at the Toy Fair in Germany, but the PRO version will be here hopefully mid december, so might not have to wait that long, they are not sure on pricing but they are hoping it be around the £160 mark, I must admit its so frustrating when we see parts on the net but are not available yet in this country, I know the UK branch of Ansmann rely totally on everything from the german distributor and unless they have it in stock we wont see it over here till they have, imagine how frustrating it must be for them seeing all of us buying from abroad and realising that all the potential profits have already been lost before the car is released over here, not a very good business model!

They is some rear mountings they screw on the chassis just behind the back battery mount post

if you are careful you can order quiet a few bits from tc models without the postage going up i got a few other bits other than the conversion even @ rrp they are a good price eg front arm mount $6.90 compared to around £10 over here

I emailed Shaun tuesday which he replied "they are expecting pictures etc for friday" but i had already been told they are expecting them early December..

it is annoying knowing that by the time the kits are available in this country, demand would have diminished as customers would have bought them from abroad..

but fingers crossed

The European distibutors could have really shot themselves in the foot on this one.

Although I can see a lot of people going down the Madrat conversion kit from HK route - given that there are already 2 Madrat posts on the "wanted" section suggests that there could well be am increased demand for Madrats

this is a trend that may become more common in comming years, as more manafacturers move the uk importers into mainland Europe, On a map this appears the best thing for them, but for us in the uk it will mean we tend to be the last on the list to get new stuff, and some things we may never be able to get...Ask kyosho uk to get a Kyosho Tshirt, I was told they couldn't get them here? I think more and more we will have no choice but to look further afield...and poss get hit by tax

We are told to support our LHS but how can we if they have no idea when, or if our parts/kits will arrive, or if they are in stock in europe

LHS in the UK £10,000 of stock, LHS in Hong Kong £100,000. Okay I don't have the exact numbers but that's the impression I get. In HK I visit the LHS even if I don't need anything, just so I can see what new stuff is on the shelves.

Unfortunately it is a downwards spiral, if you don't have stock people go elsewhere, if people go elsewhere you don't have any money to buy stock. To make things worse you're potential profits also decrease because you can't take advantage of bulk discounts provided by distributors.
