Default B6 set up help

Hi guys an gals

I have recently got back into racing but having slight trouble with set up
I have a b6 with pretty much standard set up , with exception of lighter oil in rear shocks and rear camber links lowered slightly.

I have got good speed on carpet and can carry good speed on sweeping bend coming off carpet on straight to a long left-hander on to sports hall floor.

My problem is when I try power on when on sports hall floor the rear tries to break away and swop ends even with slight power , I have turned speedo down to lowest setting for initial power and handset power curve but still same.

I lose so much time tip toeing through these sections trying to put power down any ideas would be welcome

Thank you
Braddaz

You could do with more weight over the rear.
Put the shocks and tower on the rear of gearbox, have the battery all the way back and could also try some stick on weights or brass sheet under battery. A ball diff will also help.

I found that changing the inserts in the rear hubs from +3 (kit) to zero - basically by flipping the inserts - made a big difference... Simple to change so worth a try.

The B6 is designed for high grip, so can struggle for grip on the mixed surfaces we have on our indoor tracks. However the brass rear C mount, ball diff and less weight over the nose seem to cure the mid motor on dirt.

Hi Guys an gals

Thought i would just update this to what i have tried on my set up
diff oil 5000,
rear shock oil 200,
spun the rear inserts to 0 instead of 3.

when i took to the track it was fantastic on carpet sections but rubbish on polished floor , found myself tip toeing round on these parts , unable to put any power down as car would fish tail then spin round.

for the next heat i put 0.5 degree positive camber on rear ... wow what a difference this made i was able to put power down better and not swops ends as fast but still a little bit loose on rear.

the next heat i increased to 1 degree positive camber on rear and moved shocks to rear position and placed 10 grams each side of car.

i could not believe how this made the car feel much more planted and could easily put more power down i was on for my best heat but unfortunately (i think) my thermal cut out cut in ! towards end of race.

still need to keep adjusting and any hints will be welcome

Thank you for all previous help
Braddas
