Default Maritime Racing We Want You

Calling all of south east off-road racers due to the good news of Maritime Raceway not losing its venue, we are considering opening an off road racing club to be run on a Tuesday night with practice days on Some Saturdays. it will be run in the next room at Maritime Raceway and will be a permenent track.

I will give details on track size ASAP and other detail as and when they are ready

Reason for this post, we are trying to find out if it is worth actually opening and running a club, so please can you post your intrest and if you would attend

all comments are welcome

Thank you

Ian knight

going by the turnouts at EPR i'd say you have plenty of people down that side of london to get you going.

Personally its a bit far for me for a Tuesday night, but i'd probably try and attend any saturday and sunday events

Let me know if you need any help with anything. The flooring thats there should be ideal as a basis and then perhaps different materials can be used for more or less grip if you choose.

Will you be using some of the features used at the Petit race?

That sounds AWESOME! for me though i'd never get there on time after leaving work and having to work saturdays buggers things up even more! real shame as the venue is mega and i loved the racing i've done there so far. Cant wait for "off road wars" next year!

I think this is great news and a great idea!!!!
I so crave some midweek racing and Saturday practise!!!!
No offence meant to the FORCC club, but I don't get on with the surface and changing between stock motors and modified would do my head in, have you seen me work on my cars
I am sure it will take a bit to build a driver base, but to have another club in the South East to go and race at is a dream come true.
So come on you lot show your interest

if the venue meets the needs then the club will be glad to run meetings

( just a point Maritime Racing Off road club will not be run to compete with the other clubs in the region but to be part of the region and support the sport )

I myself and my kids would love to attend on a tuesday evening, for us once a fortnight would be great.

Would be great if you had a track meeting to have a look at what you have got to play with, so please keep us informed. Any other help Ian please don't hesitate to contact us at FORCC.

Thanks for the last comment Ian we are singing from the same hymn sheet regards our clubs,

Kind regards, Alan
