Default Schumacher kc build issues

I've just finished building my cougar kc but I've got a couple of issues that I'm struggling with so I'm hoping someone will be able to help point me in the right direction / tell me what I've done wrong.

1) steering / servo - I've mounted the servo as per the instructions but when ive connected the electronics the steering is reversed. I.e. when I turn the wheel left on the transmitter the wheels go right & Visa versa.

2) drive / power - I can get drive to the back wheels in a straight line but as soon as I turn the steering I lose drive to the rear wheels.

Are the two issues related and is it going to a relatively simple fix?

Thanks
Phil

First one's easy - servo reverse on channel 1 on your transmitter.

Second not so sure about, could be one of a few things like the servo browning out the receiver if it's drawing too much power.

No the two issues are not related, as above issue one is an easy fix just reverse the channel on your transmitter.

Second one sounds like an electrical fault somewhere.
I believe radio gear prioritises steering over drive as a safety feature, so you might have a loose connection of a damaged cable. Check your 3 pin servo lead going into the receiver and your 3 pin lead on your esc that is going into the receiver.
