There seems to have been ALOT of useful information here Simon, I'd take it onboard mate. The best thing you could do would be to try somthing with a little less grunt like the lads have been saying.

I bet with a 19 turn Brushed motor and a 7.4v Lipo it would be awsome fun on loose dirt?

Good idea!,

Make sure you get the right gearing too, Anouther thing that will be important is the amount of Volts you kick through the car too. If you put to much through it the amount of punch and kick you get will hammer the gearbox interanls!

One last thing, If you go with the brushed set up make sure youre Brushed Speed Controller has a Lipo cut off point so it doesnt go 'Dead' flat as it will damage youre Lipo (If you choose to use Lipo of course). Stay with somthing safe voltage wise, 7.4v will be fine, None of that 11 odd volts you normally use, i doubt you could even use anything more than 7.4 anyways without blowing up the darn thing.

Id get anything you dont need on Ebay and recover as much as you can if you wanna race, Then look at one of these B4RS. For the money there pretty good value.

Alot of people run the B4 at York too so there is alot of help setup wise. Get youreself a HPI Saturn 20 Turn (Cheap as chips, bout £8.00), Stick a BRCA legal LiPo in - JOB DONE! In the 20 Turn class you'll learn to actually drive the car without strugglin round the track and crashing too.
