DEX 210 springs & oil
Hi all,
Rather than ask on the Durango section I thought I would ask in here, if you don't mind that is My car has the blue springs and seems a bit high. It's mid motor and I run a shorty if that's relevant. What would you experienced lot suggest for springs and oil? Oh and cheers for a good night's racing and pub afterwards! Cheers Ryan |

Im not expert.. but i change spring to suit the track, that changes every week.
last week i used very soft springs, 2 weeks ago. i used hard springs. I use same shock oil all round at all time, which is I think 27wt oil on my losi 22. Some driver drills thier piston to enlarge the holes in piston. Maybe i should try that next. |

If you need more steering drop to 450 in the front, move shocks in one on bones and preferably add around 25g in front or under servo area.
The biggest change I've notice in the short time running the car is diff oil

What thickness oil are you running in your diff?

Personally I'm up to 5K now on the grippy stuff. I know some of the chaps run it a lot lighter though.

My oil is 450 front, 350 rear currently so I look forward to trying the other settings

With regards to the diff oils it's worth checking if you diff has 2 or 4 spider gears as this affects the diff as much as the oil. I think the RTR kits only have the 2 spider gears as opposed to the pro kits which have 4 spider gears.

Good point Jim, you're correct! I based mine on 4 gears

Cheers guys. I've bought the parts to make mine a complete diff too.
Once I have the springs and oil sorted, what sort of ride height am I looking at for the indoor track? Cheers Ryan |

If I ever finish this job and make it over tonight I'll give you the oil no problem. I may even have some spare springs.
Start at 16mm front and 16-17 rear for tonight
