Steve the only breakages i have had with the sx3 is a mid belt, front shock shaft and suspension block holders , seems pretty strong have not replaced a wishbone our hub carries yet .
I would always have the above spares in pitbox . hope this helps Spencer |

Oh and when you break a shock shaft you will need to replace the ball gripper as the shaft will always break inside it but apart from that what a great car

I'm not gentle at all with my SXs.
I usually melt spur quite often with the 2, issue solve with the 3. On the 3, I broke several front suspension holders so gone alloy since then (alloy on the 2 with a Stegger brace so nothing broke). I run alloy gearbox tops from day one and alloy yokes, highly advise. On my track, short links on rear hubs works better but break too (not enough material), and when broke you can only use the outside hole (longer link), middle hole might be more forgiving, keep some rear hubs at hands. I think I will bring the inside toe to 2 and use 1 alloy hubs just to be safe, these don't have the shortest link position anyway) Front shock tower as usual, put some cyano on it, sanding, cyano, sanding. Definitely keep one already prep at hand Never broke a wishbone but with alloy suspension blocks something got to give up. One or two turnbuckles, especially the steering ones. Put an alloy servo arm (answer RC), as I wreck the treads on a lot of plastic ones and was annoyed to buy sets but only use one. The car is awesome, and customer service from Schumacher was the best I found anywhere. |
