Default Futaba 2.4 Module Bind Issue

Hi all...

Hoping someone can enlighten me, used my 3vcs at Petit on the saturday no issues but when trying to setup for sunday it didnt bind, I went through the usual routine but no luck...

Had my lads 3gr with me so tried that and it bound with both receivers straight away...

Any ideas ??

Thanks

Lee

Check that the modulation isn't set to PCM on that model memory. The modulation's shown on the bottom right of the screen. PCM doesn't work with the FASST 2.4GHz module, the light will flash red on the on the back of the transmitter, it will be green on HRS or PPM.

Has a similiar issue with my 3GR.

I rang Ripmax technical and they suggested a few things to test, eventually they diagnosed it having a signal strength issue and it had to go back for a new board inside the transmitter.

They did tell me to check that the coax hadnt come away inside the transmitter first so it may be worth checking. (just plugs in on the 3gr, not sure about the VCS)

Ripmax technical are absolutely brilliant!

What is your normal routine exactly?

With mine I am sure when you first got it you used to have to press the button on the module. These days all I seem to do is turn the transmitter on the green light flashes on the back and then I hit the bind button on the receiver and it binds up.

Hi all...

Thanks for all your responses, I have just had chance to have a look and fiddle with it again...

Ian you were spot on, some how between sat and Sunday it had changed to PCM mode, as soon as I changed it back to HRS it bound immediately

I couldn't be happier, the thought of having to fork out for a new module before the season had started was actually breaking me

Thanks again All

Lee
