Default Speed Passion questions

I have several of the first "Gran Turismo" ESC's. Weren't they called "2"? (all black, first version they came out with)

I recently bought a 120A Hobbywing ver 2.1, plus a programming box. Which let me upgrade it to Speed Passing firmware. Cheap + works excellent!!!

Now, I thought I could then upgrade my old Speed Passion ESCs too... but it does not seem to be able to communicate with them. So must I then have a dedicated Speed Passion progamming box (if so, where can I buy from online?)? Or are the ESCs simply too old to be upgraded?

One of my old SP ESCs have become a bit faulty as it lacks bottom end power (slow on the straight). Could a firmware upgrade fix this or is something broken most likely?

All tips higly appreaciated!

You can adjust the settings, but not the firmware on the older Speed passions. I still have one of them as an emergency loan esc.
