Default electrics for club racing

I am getting a cougar sv2 and was looking at brushless combos. Would 10.5 be fast enough outdoors at southport? Also, I need some saddle lipos for about £30 (tight budget!), would the ansmann ones or core rc ones be good?

The nano-tech batteries seem to be popular for club racers on a tight budget
If you want a quick car you may be better off with 8.5 or 6.5 as most of the fast lads are using. Ask on their forum.

Southport are now indoors for for the winter season although they have gone for Astroturf for the indoor track. Really kind on tires. First meeting last Sunday and got to say absolutely SUPERB see their site for more info www.srcc.co.uk

I want to do my first proper race there, do you know of any pics from that event last week? Also, a bit more on topic, the other combo I looked at was the speed passion reventon 8.5t. It's a bit more costly, which does hurt my budget a bit, but the extra turn of speed is worth it.
