Default Does F grading carry over from last year

Hi could anyone tell me do you keep your F grading from last year, the reason I'm asking is because we renewed our BRCA after the December 31st cut off date so had to join as a new member meaning new number etc. The online form never asked for our current number so I'm assuming they have nothing to tie the 2 profiles from previous years so does this mean we start as F5 again
Cheers

I think EVERYONE had to join as a new member even before December, and had an opportunity to retain there old number if they renewed quick enough.
Not sure about the grading though.

You gain an F grading through Regionals and at National events F1 and F2 which are valid for the next year. Gradings run from 1st of Jan through to end of Dec.
Example:
Assuming you was a F4 put you drove awesome through your regional events and gained an F2 license in 2015. You will remain a F4 driver till the end of 2015. 1st of Jan, for the full year you will be a F2 grade driver and will be seeded as that through all events.
If in 2016 though you do not do any sanctioned BRCA events, then you will drop a grade to F3.
Hope that was clear enough.

You can see the 2016 licence grades here:

So what would happen if you were F4 then rejoined the BRCA as a new member how do they tie your current F4 grading to your new BRCA account
Rejoining as a new member effectively means you start from F5 again ?
As if you have not raced any previous BRCA events

The 1/10th section has a list of all names and f grades that are changed every year and updated with the regional and national results your membership is not linked to this.
Also if you had not raced any brca events you could not be a f4 unless you have been in the top 20 nationally

You are not actually joining as a new member.
You are actually just getting a new BRCA membership number and nothing else.
There will be a cross reference for BRCA officials and you will be able to carry your F grading across to the new membership number.
Nothing more or less

Your membership is most definitely linked to who you are and your grading.
Can you imagine a common name and the mayhem that would cause!!

Top 20 Nationally give you a F1 grade, not a F4

Right, so I had to become a new member and got a new BRCA number, so my f rating will not be affected then? Or o I have to get in contact with someone to link the 2 numbers together?

If you speak to your Regional Rep, they will advise you what F Grading you are in 2016. This will relate to your racing in 2015. If you were a F4 in 2015, but didn't race enough regional meetings, you will automatically drop to a F5 in 2016. If you raced enough to retain or go up 1 or 2 F Grades, then it is the Regional Rep that will tell you that. They have the Power, haha. As far as I've always been concerned, You tell the BRCA what F Grade you are in their website.
In Mid-West, we get an email from our Regional Rep, once the F1's & F2's have been sorted, to advise you what your F Grade will be for the following year.

Hope that makes sense.

Opening up a ticket at the BRCA site will only throw it back to me I would imagine to explain it to you like I am doing.
The 10th off road section formulas have nothing to do with the BRCA membership or the number you have or given.
If you want to know what formula you are or you are unsure you can either contact the Chairman of the Off-road section or my self. tony@rudebits.net
I will happily let you know - need to know full name, address and region raced in...its that simple

as far as i'm aware it will link your name/address to keep the F rating you obtained last year
there was an option that if you rejoined the site before Dec 2015 you would be able to give your old brca number and you would then keep that.
The F grade follows you as a person rather than BRCA number

Actually the correct thing to do if anyone has actually got question about the licence grade is to contact your regional BRCA rep - that would be a quicker and more accurate way in dealing with it all. All reps have the updated list of all grades for the forthcoming season.

Catch you all later
