do what real men do - do your direct access test, and buy a big bike.

you haven't felt speed till you've gone from 0-60 in less than 4 seconds

Bike engined Kit Car would be the cheapest way and most fun way....

Exige on a track is very quick..

You only need a nut cracker to crack a nut. Not a Grenade.

How about TVR Cerbera or Chimaera, I love these cars. Quite cheap nowadays too even including AA membership.

Yeah you could get a really ropey TVR, my step dad has a 4.5 chimera, very quick in a straight line, but cornering! mmmm intersting is the word!

Looks like a bike powered 7 is the way forward! or a formula 1 side car!? would need a willing passenger through!

Anything classed as a "Caterfield" will do the job nicely

I used to be in the Lotus owners club and did several track days in my Elise.

TVR`s were pants on track TBH. Very quick on the straights and awful on the bends.

Exige is only as good as its driver - even if it is the S model

R300 Caterham in the right hands would show him a clean pair of heels

Do what ive been thinking of doing, take a standard S1 elise, then put a honda lump in it. That will send you from 0-60 in 3.5 secs, which is quicker than the far more expensive exige s.

You might want to uprate the brakes to make sure you can stop quickly enough. Suspension is something you will need to upgrade also, get some ohlin adjustables.

Even with all the other small mods youd be looking at sub 20. And to do it even cheaper, buy one that someone has already done the conversion.

Last time I looked there were a few audi engined elises on pistonheads, slightly more expensive but quicker still!

hi mate, due to my dad also looking at getting a caterham, i reckon youd arse whoop him if you did the same. my dad doesnt have £8,000 to spend lol but if you do id recomend the caterham fireblade, basically has a honda fireblade engine it. my dad is gonna convert the engine out of an FJ 1200.
this wil cost him alot less than to buy one.#but if youve got £8,000 go for the Hayabusa engined one

Well having had a Exige, your going to struggle to beat it round the track in anything but the likes of a caterham......................

A elise with honda engine wont be 0-60 in 3.5...but it will be the same 0-60 in 4.3 as the Exige S and the elise is more chuckable round a track.

radical would do it!!!!!

juist get a caterhamR500!! done!
