Default Motor question

Hi fellow members , this maybe obvious for most of you but im just re learning the hobby again and correct me if im wrong but on the endbell of the orion motor the marking that reads top is meant to line up with the timing marks , doesnt it??
If its 180 degrees out its running reverse isnt it ?
