Question Club Control Tyres

Hi, what are the control tyres at your club?

I wanted to come see/visit your track.

I have schumacher mini pins on my B44 & B4.

schumacher minispike are the tyre of choice. Yellow for dry, and greens for wet. It is very grippy in the dry so you won;t need brand new tyres or you may grip roll!

Hi, thanks for fast reply.

However is it OK if I use schumacher minipins and not minispikes for your races?

or is it only minispikes allowed?

probably best if one of the club officials confirms that. You may find that mini-pins don't last long on the track anyway and will probably give you uncontrollable bite.

If you are just popping down as a one-off for some fun then they will probably be ok, but you may find they are very bald by the end of the racing!

Super maybe one of the officials will confirm here.

I've got nowhere else to race those tyres at the moment, so might as well use them up.

Looking forward to comming to your track as soon as I can get a free sunday

You can run whatever tyres you like.

We only specify a control tyre for our winter series (which is the Schumacher minispike in green or yellow compound - for the rear axle - free choice on the front).

I hope you enjoy the track.

Yes there is racing every Sunday. Racing will start around 1:30pm but people start to get there from about 11am depending on how much practice you want!

There are also winter series meetings which start much earlier with first race on the line at around 10am. These meetings will require the use of Schumacher Minispikes and dates can be found on the website (I think it's 3rd Sunday each month)

Hi, whats the earliest I can practice there if I'm not a member: can I come before 11am?

Also: I'm with BEDSRCMCC and also I don't have a BRCA card yet, is that OK?

Are you a BRCA member? You dont have to bring the card as long as you are a BRCA member it's OK.

Is it this Sunday you are coming? I will be there from 11 and will open the gate so I would say not to get there before that incase you cant get in.

You can normally race 2 times without a BRCA licence but you will not be able to do anymore and it is for insurance purposes. You can get your BRCA licence through the club (Stotfold) but will need to speak to Keith.

Hi, I am a member, however our cards haven't come through to our club yet.

I'm going to try and come to the club on Sunday if I can.

Whats the clubs post code & address to stick in the sat nav or is it more complex to find?

If you have joined then no problem, ring up the BRCA sec just to get your number.
You can do 2/3 meetings without it but after then they will want your BRCA number.
