Default ESC fans......

Hi.

Currently running a 10.5 turn motor, 23 pinion, 78 spur.

Electronic speed controller (Vampire SR1+) has a removable fan that I'd like to remove for space reasons.

Am I likely to run in to any obvious over heating problems by doing so?

Hi Jim,

You should be fine with that, the fan is more aimed at the hotter winds. Just check your temps after first practice on Thursday night

I've just removed the fan from my ESC (running an 8.5 motor in 2wd), peak temps are up ~10-12 degrees. So getting to about 45-50.

(It's a different ESC, but its not going to be a million miles out.)

Thinking of removing the fan from the other 2wd as well........
