Default BMAX4 II rear arms on BMAX 2

Looked at some set ups and it looks like the bmax4 rear arms are used more and more.
If I understand correctly these make the rear a bit wider and adds some stability?
Now my question is why not just use some wheels with a wider off set??

Thanks in advance.

You are correct in saying it adds stability. Yokomo have released some 1mm wider rear arms now with part number B4-008R1. These fit without any modding and trimming. Regarding the wider hexes I'm a bit unsure.

Longer arms will change roll centres and have a very different effect to just running wider hexs.
