Default X11 - First run out - Southport National

Hi Guys,

The X11 went great on Sunday, giving me my best ever qualifying result at a National and I think my best ever finish.

I ran a fairly standard X10 set-up on it which was:

Front:

Springs: 5.5t
Pistons: Hard + Valve
Oil: 35 Associated
Toe: Parrallel
Camber: 1 Degrees
Castor: 1 washer behind wishbone
Ground clearance: 16mm
Anti Roll Bar: None
Front upright to upper wishbone - NO spacer
1 way diff

Rear:

Springs: 5.5t/Gold
Pistons: Soft
Oil weights: 50wt Associated
In-board toe-in per side: 3 Degrees
Out-board toe-in per side: 0 Degrees
Anti-squat: 1 1/2 Degrees
Camber per side: 1 Degrees
Ground clearance: 22mm
Anti-roll bar: None
Rear lower upright: Upper Hole
Damper pickup point: Middle

Tyres: WORN Schumacher Yellow Mini Spikes

Motor - Novak 5.5 Sintered
Cells - EP 4200's
Novak GTB
Front brake balance - N/A - 1 way diff
Pinion - 16
Spur - 72

That is the same sort of set-up that I have been running on the X10 recently APART from the rear anti-squat. I think that is what made the rear of the car better over the bumps. There are a few front end changes from a std sort of set-up, but these are due to the front 1 way diff.

The car generated so much grip that I never felt the need to run new tyres all day, and infact ran one set that were well worn in the first round all day. The car was just so 'chuckable' at the corners with them on.

I'm well impressed, and am looking forward to playing with the set-up further.

G

Stu has some pictures of it on track at the Southport National, but he is away on holiday. Both Pete and Jimmy missed taking pictures of it

I can get some static pictures of the car if thats what you want?

There's one of mine on track here... http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/south.../NO5E1448.html

Although it doesn't really show you anything, but at least it was the right way up

Nice car Yardeeee, I still can't get over how slim-line and low they are.
