Default outdoor tyres compound?

im in the process of spending every penny i have left on tyres, parts and spares for the rango.

whats going to be the best compound for the new track? are we looking at a slightly harder wearing mini spike?

ordered a fresh set of pins as i was on slicks losing a lap a heat, now after my second set for outdoors.

thanks.

I'll be very surprised if we aren't all using yellow minispikes.

Tarmac???? There are plenty of stones but hopefully they will be covered with AstroTurf.

There were cobbles and slabs at the old track, there is concrete and cobbles at Southport - mixed surfaces aren't unusual. But the vast majority of the surface is astro so yellow minispikes are the tyre. Tarmac sections will increase tyre wear a little but not enough to merit a harder compound that won't work as well on the majority of the track.

Yellows, green inserts or ballistics are my favourite. For rango drivers the ballistic seems to fit their wheels better than schumacers.
