its in a public park which means its open
the track is a fair trek from either of the carparks/entrances though so be prepared to lug your gear over to the track area!

Don't you have to be a member to be there though ? I don't mind joining but currently not a member, would be good to pop down and get some practice though just so I know what to expect although the sludgefest you've described isn't too appealing...

New rules say you MUST have a BRCA membership even if your Pitting for someone.

from RWMCC

Please note that BRCA membership is required for ALL drivers and mechanics participating at any of our race meetings. We will be asking for proof of membership over the next few meetings, but please be aware that we do have direct access to the BRCA database and can check on anyones membership status.

I think you missed my point Nasir, I will renew my BRCA membership for next year so that won't be an issue. What i was worried about is you saying the track is open 24/7/365. Showtime posted

my point was don't you need to be a member of the remote world club to use their track at other times, not just race days ?

No...

Its on Public land-They don't advertise it as they don't want people to run on it... But yes anyone can use it they don't have much control over it in that sense. But as Adam says, the fact you cannot park anywhere near it is what puts 90% of people off from going there-Specially in the winter months.

How often do most nitro racers run?

think of us as solar powered

we don't run until there's been around 2 weeks of solid sunshine

lol

How long is a piece of string!
It varies some race once a month.. some race most if not every weekend... Alot in the winter run 1/10th or run 1/10th if the weather has or is iffy.. it depends tbh..

I thought I would only be racing every other weekend, but have been out every week since I got my car - it is addictive. If anyone fancies popping over to Slough, give me a shout. Always better if there is someone else there. I've only done 6 or so races, but love it - even in the snow at Herts last week. If there was a race on Sunday, I would be there Might not be there the following week, as the wife would have killed me though. I am looking forward to the warmer, less muddy weather though!

Welcome to Nitro racing Chef!

I am at Slough most race days (i dont always race because i am too lazy to clean the car when the track is muddy) so can pit for you if needed and if we dont end up in the same heat/finals but there are plenty of folk up there that will give you a hand.

Do you race at Slough with your rc8.2?

I'll be racing you against my RC8.2E

Sounds like you're going to be having a good Christmas Mr Chef sir !

When I was younger if the parents bought me an RC car they wouldn't see me for a few days as I was in my bedroom building and painting and stickering it... come to think of it maybe that's why they bought them for me. Probably to shut me up and keep me out of their way after the previous 3 months manic child leading up to Christmas syndrome

Have fun with it Chef, next year is gonna be cool.

Berky your always building your car at a race meeting so miss most of the quallies that's why you end up in lower finals?
How are you anyway Paul long time no see since you moved
Kristian the Hudy is a loverly bit of kit but as Tommy said to me one day with a buggy the slop that you get it is a tad overkill better off with a decent set of digital verniers, a brand new kit will feel tight until after it's first race meeting!
