Default oOoos RD2 - Brilliant event.

Thanks to the guys at Mendip RC for hosting a superb meeting. What a nice venue and a track that drives really well.

For me personally it's been one of the most enjoyable meetings I've ever been to, everything was ACE!

Great weekend, the track was great, lots of well placed ups and downs.

Thanks to:-

Mike Parker for having some uncut staggers to sell me.

The Mendip lot for preparing a great track and venue.

The catering people for producing great food in that oven.

oOple for running the weekend.

Luney and Stu Wood for the setup help.

Guppy for joining me in the 20oz steak challenge.

Tommy for driving 'so consistently' on the way home so we have just gone over Thellwall.

I can't wait for RHR!

Can't say enough about this weekend. Superb track (despite initial, misplaced misgivings) and just a tremendous atmosphere. Was great to catch up with people from last year and meet new racers this year.

Having raced previously at all the other tracks on the oople series, it's fair to say Mendip is my favourite one. Well done guys!

Glad everyone enjoyed themselves

I just wish the 3hrs 35 home could have been matched on the way down, rather than 6hrs 15

Thanks for all your positive comments, it really makes all the hard work the team put in for each event worth while.

Thanks to Stu, Northy, Jim, Mark and Chris, John in Race a Control and of course Jimmy and Vicky.

They are probably driving through Birmingham in the Chugga bus about now, that's if it's not done another tyre!

Also big thanks to the Mendip crew, the track was ACE! Thanks Paul and Andy!

Amazeballs Total of about 7 hours kip all weekend, some plumb on the M5 Avonmouth Bridge had a whoopsy on Friday which meant the 80 min journing turned into more like 160 min....

Track, deceptive but once in the groove, awesome, the best bit, oOple t-shirts for £6!!!! I should of bought more....

Ta the hard working oOple crew and Mendip crew!!!

Now, all I got to work out is..... can I persuade the boss to give me Mondays and Fridays off either side of an oOple..... hmmmm

Fantastic meeting, my favourite meeting in 19 years of racing. I didn't do particularly well and struggled with my car until the finals.... but that's exactly what oOple is about, enjoying yourself Great to see that fresh approach to racing with everyone having FUN

Thanks for everyone that travelled to our venue at Mendip and we're glad you all enjoyed yourselfs Hopefully I'll have a video crafted up by the end of the week

Well, what a weekend, the word is defiantly Epic.
A massive thank you to all the Oople crew, Damian, Jimmy, Stu, Vicky, John, Northy and everyone else for giving us the Oopletunity to host round 2 of this years series.

The weather was so kind to us, the track was it's reliable self as always and we even got in an extra round of qualifying on Saturday. Thank you to all the racers for making the trip to the west country, I am sure those who showed up for a look see are gutted they didn't enter now!

Thank you for all the many complements we received from so many people over the weekend, we are just glad you all had such a great weekend of racing. We are very proud of what we are developing at Mendip Rc Raceway and there is a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes to make things even better for the future.

So thank you Oople and the 120 racers who came from far and wide to race at Mendip this weekend from all of us on the committee. Hope the sun burn and hangovers are dumbing down now

It was a stonking weekend for sure, and the weather... amazing !!

Kudos to everyone involved for organising the weekend, you should be proud of yourselves

Roll on next year !

Oh and if anyone managed to get any photos or vids of my 'vintage' Predator running at the weekend, i'd love to see them... It managed 2 practices, 5 heats, 3 finals and a dozen laps afterwards in Craig Harris's hands without breaking one single part or failing to finish... It just proves it can still match modern cars, even in my average drivers hands

I just need some proof, or no-one who wasn't there will believe me
