Default Orion r10.1 esc repair

HI all
as per the title, is there anyone out there who is able to repair an orion 10.1 that has been connected backward polarity for a split second.

Now the esc powers up, when the trigger is pulled for the throttle it blinks a red light, if you manually spin the wheels at this point the esc runs fine until you bring the buggy to a full stop again. then it will require a bump start to get it going again.

Any help would be appreciated

Regards Sam

You can try "pugs" on here but reversing it nearly always means its toast

If your lucky you will just need a new capacitor bank, my mate did similar and he changed the capacitor bank and it’s like new. I however when I reversed my connections wasn’t so lucky.

Good luck.

Default toast

Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated.

On the capacitor note, I took the capacitor bank off and tried running it without but it still did the same, is it worth putting a new one on and trying it?

I’m no expert but worth a go for the cost of a new capacitor I would say mate.

You'll need a new cap if it's been reversed, but that won't fix this as you've blown a phase on the ESC. If you can't get hold of pugs I can might be able to help and can always catch you at SHRCCCCCC if you want.
