Default Lubricating New Bearings?

Hi All,

I have just ordered a complete set of Avid bearings for my L1.

Should I re grease / oil them all before fitting?

Wash them out and re grease / oil?

Just fit them as they come?

Interested to hear what you all do with new bearings.

Thanks

Hi,

They are ready to use out of the packet.

If you want to keep on top of maintenance. After a few weeks running, longer if running in a clean environment, indoors etc. take the out and clean them off and re-oil.

Cleaning can be spray out or soak in motor spray / degreaser.
Check that each bearing is free running and smooth before re-assembly.

MiCk B. :-)
