Default Orion r10 not responding to program box

I have an orion r10 which I can't program with either of the DSBR boxes I have. The speedo works fine but if I try to update it via the orion firmware and there is no response. The boxes do update and both work on my other orion r10. Help please

I've had this when the calibration was slightly off, box wouldn't recognise ESC was plugged into it,

I bought an Orion r10 a few years back and a programme box, only to find that the base model r10 is incompatible with the prog box. Has it worked in past or could it be the same issue I had?

I was disconnecting the sensor lead from the motor and using that to connect. A friend of mine has actually suggested that I leave the motor connected and use another lead in the other port which I will try this evening

Then it sounds like it's the base model r10 that Chris referred to..!

It does. Is there anything that can be done?

I sold the prog box on eBay as it was of no use to me, and then the car with the r10 was stolen, so ultimately that solved everything!

Problem solved!! If you connect the esc direct to the program box via the receiver connection it works. Many thanks to Apex Models for the help

Cheers, it's a weight off my mind. When it comes to Apex I think people love to,çomplain but are reluctant to compliment (me included. I've been a customer of Apex for nearly 25 years and will be for more
